You can use any silver metal clay. I use Art Clay Silver, which is torch fireable, because I don't have a kiln. If you have a kiln, use whatever silver metal clay that you usually use. Just take note of the shrinkage rate!

Your jump rings need to be large enough when fired so you can fit the end of a necklace chain through the jump ring. When you make jump rings with a cutter, the depth is entirely up to you. Just don't make them too thin because they do need to hold the weight of your piece.

This course is 10 videos long and you can wizz through them or take your time. There's no rush! The course will stay in your library for you to refer to whenever you need to remind yourself how to make jump rings.

Not at all, although once you've made your jump rings you can fire your pieces just as you would normally. I torch fire all my pieces so if you're just starting out, you can do that too.

Absolutely! I make quite a lot in one go and store them in a small, lidded pot. It means that when I'm finishing a piece, I can choose whichever jump ring looks best and suits the piece perfectly. Sometimes, a small jump rings works whereas other times, I love a statement jump ring. If you make them in advance, you can choose the right one for the job, when the time is right.
