Dear Readers,

Remember that feeling of a personal letter arriving and how happy it made you feel?

Oh, yes I do, and it always made me smile more than any email. I miss receiving a postcard with a 'We're on the beach and wish you were here' message. Don't you?
 
I only receive what I'd call 'happy' post for birthdays and Christmas, and those can be stressful times. So, I'm here to let you know that I'm going to write to you (if you'd like me to) and share my art, my stories and my colourful (that's code for interesting and a bit crazy!) life in the Cotswolds and Devon. Yes, you'll get a bit of both.
 
You probably know me for my Silver Nutshell Jewellery, Guides and Online Courses, but I wasn't always a jeweller. I've been so many versions of myself. I am from a family of creative folk and letter writers. My Grandad did an art correspondence course back in the 1940's and I have letters from his parents to each other. The letters are very precious, not just because of what's written, but because of the handwriting. That's an art we need to hold onto.
 
This new idea came to me at the end of 2025. I realised that after my Mum passed away, I spent a lot of time looking back at memories. For 2026, I want to look forward and make new ones. Hence, why I have decided to made time to paint, draw and write, whilst I continue to run my small business.
 
In my new monthly print club. I want to celebrate the seasons, tell you about some of my favourite places in the Cotswolds and Devon, send you pieces of art that I'm doing, along with perhaps a bookmark or other goodie, and hopefully give you a reason to keep receiving letters from me every month.

My 2026 Monthly Art Print Series - 'Sips of Tea' Series

I'm launching the print club with what I'm going to call 'Sips of Tea'. For the next few months, I've set myself the challenge of creating local scenes with botanicals and Cotswold views, all hand painted within the shape of my favourite mug. I'm British so I love drinking tea! More on that in my letters...

April's Art Print is of the Cherry Blossom trees at St Mary's Church in the lovely Cotswold town of Tetbury. If you've been there, you'll recognise it in the video, see below

I've always donated to nature charities through my business. It's a way to give back, so this year, I'll be donating 25p from every letter to the charity, Bumble Bee Conservation

A little more buzz about this important charity... Think of bumblebees as the fuzzy, overachieving superheroes of our gardens. While they might look like they’re just wandering aimlessly from flower to flower, they’re actually performing a high-tech move called "buzz pollination"—vibrating at just the right frequency to shake pollen loose from plants that other bees can’t even touch. We’d be in a real pinch without them, especially since they're responsible for many of our favorite foods, like juicy summer tomatoes and berries. Unfortunately, these little powerhouses are having a rough time lately due to habitat loss and messy weather patterns, which is why every penny helps to preserve these natural habitats. Together, we can "Bee the Change" and ensure the "sound of summer" continues to buzz along nicely and doesn't go silent for the generations to come.
