This is a Cool Tools silver metal clay. It's a brilliant, creamy torch fireable clay and if you live in the USA, or in one of the shipping zones, I'd definitely go for it! Shrinkage rate is 15-20% although it always seems less to me.

I always champion Art Clay Silver because I've used it from the very beginning. It's what I use in all my jewellery projects, courses and guides. It's torch fireable, available in 7, 10, 20, 50g packs and shrinkage rate is 8-12%.

This hand held torch heats the silver metal clay to firing temperature easily. I fill it with butane gas from a can. Simply flip the red switch to open the valve and press the silver button to ignite the gas. It's perfect for beginners.

This set of circle cutters has so many uses. I use them all the time! The tiny ones are great for cutting tiny holes for hanging jump rings. I use the larger cutters to make bezels for rings. This set is such great value.

These files are small but mighty! I use them for filing away excess clay, and also for filing back any texture or pattern lost on ring joins. They get into tiny areas and as they're small, they fit well in my hand.

These are brilliant to use, especially if you're a beginner or haven't learnt to solder yet. Insert the pin into the wet clay or drill a hole and use paste to insert into dry clay. You can then torch fire these in position.

There are two essential products you should have if you make silver metal clay jewellery and CoolSlip is one of them. It's light and easy to use with a simple spray top. It lasts for ages and I use it in moulds and on texture tiles.

I struggled with polishing for 3 years until I discovered radial discs. Oh my goodness, they clean and polish my pieces without the need for any other products. I buy 3M radial discs because they do the job so well.
We've all experienced using a cheap pick which drags the clay and won't cut properly. Invest in this clay pick and you'll never need to buy another one! It's worth the money, cuts like butter and I can thoroughly recommend it!

It's always worth buying a pot of silver metal clay paste when you purchase your clay. It comes in 10 or 20g pots and I keep mine in the fridge. It's great for joining rings, attaching one piece of dry clay to another and lasts for ages.

I love these Cool Tools textures so much! I use them for ring bands, for earrings and take them to my workshops for my students to use. Brush with Coolslip liquid release agent so that your clay won't stick in the pattern!

Use alphabet molds to personalise your pieces. I've used 'alphabet 2 flat' mold to add words to my Tiny Book of Magic. Remember to dry the letters in the mold and make more than you need to allow for duplications and breakages.
